Traditional rennet – Has its active enzymes extracted from calf’s. This primarily allowing for greater flavor development in dairy products. Available in a strength of 200 IMCU’s (International Milk Clotting Unit). Traditional rennet suitable for all types of cheese making, as well as desserts such as junket.

Tradional rennet is made up of the following:
primarliy 80% chymosin with the remander being 20% pepsin

Produced in the EU traditional rennet. Is firstly and most importantly GM free, secondly the 50ml bottle comes in a helpful dropper format for those making smaller volumes.
Rennet Usage:
With an Industry standard sought after by most cheese makers both here and on the continent. Our rennet’s IMCU (international milk clotting units) of 200 means that, primarily 1ml of rennet will colt two litre’s of cows milk. Secondly just 4 to 5 drops are needed for volumes up to a litre of cows milk. Please drop us a message if you require further help. This Means Firstly that there have been no genetically modified raw materials, used in any of it’s ingredients. Secondly nor have any of the production process involved genetically modified organisms. And finally within the production factory, none of the production process’s come in contact with genetically modified organisms. Leaving there no risk of cross contamination. |
